where are we ?

Hostel Petropolis is situated at Santos Dumont 345, center, close to the commercial and tourist points of the city. Can be go walking to Teresa Street or even the Imperial Museum, cultural symbol of the city. Hostel Petropolis is the best benefit-cost option for your leisure or housing. We have special prices for excursions and shopping on Tereza Street.

Best option for students because it is located two blocks from the CPU and one block from the bus station, which connects all the neighborhoods to the center of Petropolis.

Located in the oldest palace Imperial Petropolis, the summer residence of the emperor d. Pedro II. The Imperial museum offers a journey through the history of Brazil, with emphasis on everyday life of the imperial family in Petropolis.

House of Cláudio de Souza
Former summer residence of the writer, playwright Claudio de Souza, the house belongs today to the Imperial Museum. It houses a esposição on the work life of the owner, temporary exhibitions and cultural events.

Rio Negro Palace
Built in 1889 by the Baron of Rio Negro, the Palace was, throughout its history, state government headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and the official summer residence of presidents of the republican tradition that still holds, hosting presidents when prompted.

Wax Museum
Petrópolis wax museum is a place of entertainment, research and interactivity capable of uniting the imaginary academic research, awakening the public interest in the story, told through large Brazilian and international personalities.

House of Stefan Zweig
Museum named after the Austrian writer who took refuge in Brazil during World War II, his life, his work and Memorial Exile, in honor of all those who have found a new home in this country.

Museum House Settler
With its still intact building, the house built in 1847 by a German immigrant home everyday objects, tools, photographs and other collections that provide a journey to the origins and traditions of German colonization in Petropolis.

Museum FEB
The museum of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force was inaugurated on May 08, 1982. It has a collection of 1297 pieces, donated by febiános and widows, and tells the story of World War II in Italy against the Germans.

House of Ipiranga
The House of Ipiranga was designed in 1884 by José Tavares Guerra, in Quenn Victoria style. It has its original decoration, plus a garden designed by Auguste Glaziou, unique only in Brazil.

Museum House of Santos Dumont
Alpine chalet, built in 1918 by Alberto Santos Dumont, aviation pioneer. Innovative, creative and functional, reveals in its architectural details and furniture ddesign the futuristic personality of its owner.

Brewery Bohemia
carefully assembled sets, screen panels touch, sound and lights. Everything was done to entertain and celebrate the history of the most popular drink on the planet. Research and technology have transformed the place and one of the largest brewers centers worldwide.

National Park Sierra of Organs
The largest area of the park is located in Petropolis. The waterfall baths and walks to enjoy the lush vegetation and the Atlantic Forest fauna are not. Choose from the average level walk (1h30) to the Bride's Veil waterfall (42m) formed by Bonfim River, where is practiced rappelling and canyoning.

Quitandinha Palace
Built in 1944 by Joaquim Rolla, in order to be the largest casino in South America. Here the Norman-French style having 50,000 square meters on six floors, divided into 440 apartments and 13 large halls with up to 10m high.

Cathedral St. Peter of Alcantara
French Gothic Revival style, with stained glass. Inside, there is the Imperial Chapel, where the remains of Dom Pedro II, Da. Maria Teresa Cristina, Cde. D'Eu and Princess Isabel.
